I haven't had to renew a blue badge, but have recently just been given one. I applied while still awaiting a PIP assessment. I still don't have a decision from PIP, but evidently you can still get a badge if you provide them with enough evidence

I am 74 and receive DLA and only get lower mobility. I have been able to get a blue badge with the help of my doctor.

Hi.
Recently I had to re apply for the renewal of my blue badge.
At that time I was advised that I had two options.
Eiether to provide a up to date award letter from the DWP, and apply, or amazingly I could apply, and my local authority would send me for their own medical,I do not know if this is applicable to all local authoritys in the UK.
Good Luck.
