Hi Kel, the big thing is that you can actually write in to dispute the assessment report. DWP do not tell you this, I only learnt it on here but it worked for our daughter's last PIP renewal.
What you have to do is go through the report and note all the point-losing errors, omissions and sneaky twists. Write a very cold letter addressed to
The Decision Maker
at the address on your most recent letter. In your letter refer back to all the answers in the form and the evidence that backs them. Avoid using the word 'lie'. stick to things like, 'factually incorrect', 'appears not to have taken xy evidence into account'. Do this quickly in case they happen to have yours at the top of the pile, you want to get your oar in ASAP.
Best wishes,
Denby

Hi Kel,

What was the occupation of the assessor: was it a nurse, physiotherapist or some other HCP?

The reason I say this is that if the assessor wasn't suitably qualified in your particular condition then WHAM! You have definitely got a very strong case to argue.

I scored zero points almost four years ago and the nurse had no specialist knowledge of my condition. I used this against her at the MR stage and had my original award reinstated.

I doubt whether the decision maker will overrule the assessor but if you get in there quickly, as denby suggests, you MIGHT just be able to influence them into taking your side.

t's worth a go.

If not, please don't get too despondent, you can put in for an MR and take your time in deconstructing the report and putting a strong case forward.

I wish you the very best of luck.

Regards,

Phrank.
