Hi there I have a PIP review form dated 6th of June and it came today. It says I have to have sent it back to them by the 8th June. I was just wondering if this is correct, as it seems quite a short period of time. I won't be able to get the evidence together, and may not be able to get the form done. If I try and get an extension will I get a text confirmation of that and do I need to give a specific reason for not being able to get it done in time? thankyou for any help you can give
There is clearly an error here - but you need to contact the DWP and confirm the date for the return of the form. No, they won't confirm any extension with a text.
You don't have to give any reason at this point - because they can't send out a letter dated the 6th saying that is has to be returned on the 8th. That's clearly nonsense. Normally people have four weeks from the date on the letter. This sometimes turns into three weeks as time is taken up for the letter to arrive.
