Change of circumstances- improvement in ability was created by LucyLu
Hi
I need to notify the DWP of a change in relation to a PIP claim. The claimant has over a period of a couple of months improved and he has now started full time employment. It’s fragile and he’s taken as many steps backwards as he has forwards, he requires a lot of support, he hasn’t been offered a permanent job but things are changing. If I telephone the DWP how will they ask me to communicate this change? For example will it be questions over the phone during that telephone call? Or will it be a review? Or will I have to fill in a form/put it in writing?
We have taken one step at a time but feel now there is a change that should be notified. The issue of keeping PiP isn’t a priority it’s timings and why we have chosen now to notify a change that I foresee being a challenge. Can anyone advise?

Hi LucyLu
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum
You need to contact PIP helpline; 0800 121 4433 and report a change in circumstances.
They may ask what triggered the change and when, was it due to an operation, change in medication or receiving extra support, there may be an overpayment so be careful in what you say.
