I have to first off all day thank you for all the help I gained from you for my PIP mandatory reconsideration and appeal; after over a year, the outcome was a success. I could not have done it without you so I thank you.
Today, I have a question about Disability Premiums, I receive PIP, both on basic rate; UC and contribution based ESA - support group. I have contacted DWP and they advised me today… “you are getting contribution based ESA but no disability premium. Because ESA contribution based does not attract premiums it would be better to look at Universal credit which may attract a disability element.” UC advised me to contact ESA, and so it begins…. Since I have no knowledge of this I couldn’t comment but would really appreciate your help. Thank you.
The DWP are correct, CB ESA does not attract any premiums.
As you claim CB ESA and in the support group you may be eligible to claim LCWRA, you need to speak to your local Welfare Rights Organisation who can take all your information into consideration.
