Still waiting for PIP 2 form how your disability affects you

Sent my PIP 1 initial paper form back by recorded delivery and signed for on 23 September 2022. Needed to be back by 1/10/2022.

It's now 11th November and I still have not received the paper PIP 2 main form from DWP. No success getting through on the phone to chase up either as it's 5 or 6 hours just waiting on the phone. Counting weekends its now 49 days but 36 excluding weekends that I've been waiting. Are they working through a massive backlog? Would you advise I write a letter to the address on the PIP 1 form enclosing proof of delivery from post office and enquire about why still hanging around waiting for my PIP 2 form.

I'm afraid there is no alternative to phoning the DWP.

Gordon,
It just shows the DWP's cavalier attitude to legally mandated accessibility, as not everyone can manage phoning. Especially not with waits like that.

Hi, if you are able to phone around 9 am the wait times are generally much shorter then. I have never waited more than 20 minutes at that time. I hope that helps.
All good wishes to you
