If you have had your decision letter - you can put in for a mandatory reconsideration and challenge any parts you like, including the length of the award. Be aware that not many people have been successful in challenging the award length, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try. You will have to argue why you believe your award length should be longer. If the DWP believes a claimant's health can improve at any stage, they will give a shorter award.
If you haven't already, you should get hold of a copy of your assessment report - PA4 - so you can see why you weren't awarded the points you expected.
