PIP housing element was created by shocksl
Hi I am not sure if you got this thread? as I havent seen it published. (delete if its been asnwered in another topic) thanks
Hi
I am currently living in temporary accommodation. However the council has found me a council flat for me and my cousin to live in.
However he is a full time student, aged 19.
I am receiving universal credit, Limited Capability for wok work and daily living allowance PIP.
I have now been told by the council I may not be able to have the property, as my cousin isnt in recepit of any benefit.
I thought me having PIP and my cousine being a FT student meant that I would be excempt from paying any Bedroom Tax. and not affect my housing element.
I am unsure what to do. As I really wanted to get out of here.
Was i right?

Hi shocksl
I have answered your previous post; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/kunena/10-dla-...d-bedroom-tax#278774
Posts are not released until they have been assessed by an Mod, up until then they sit in a holding pen and are not seen by forum members or by the person posting the post. Quite often we come across repeat posts where members have made a post thinking they will see it straight away. Unless a mod is on duty then this will not happen.
