Hi. Asking for a family member.

They have been getting pip for a few yrs. They have accumulated quite alot of savings from his benefits as they dont spend it willy nilly. Because they are from his benefits accumulating does it make a difference or will their benefits potentially stop if DPW see his bank account? Thanks

PIP is not a means-tested benefit so there savings will have no effect on their payments.

However, if they are receiving any such benefits, such as legacy ESA, UC or Housing Benefit then their savings could have any impact, there is a £6000 limit after which deductions will be made and a £16,000 limit after which entitlement ceases.
