Hi im filling out my sons claim for dla as he has night time needs and mobility issues. He currently has middle rate and i hoping to get higher. He has tyoe 1 diabetes that isnt controlled. I know for pip there is a cheat sheet of points awarded for issues etc. Is there anything lile this for child dla please? Thanks

You say you are aiming at the Higher Rate Care award. Be aware, HRC is awarded for substantial care needs during the day AND night, you only mention care needs overnight, no matter how severe the needs only the Medium Rate can be awarded in these circumstances. Does your child have care needs during the day as well?
