PIP at last year's rates was created by Tracy Neil
Hi, I have a couple of questions and hope somebody on here can help me, please. I have recently been awarded PIP, backdated to March this year, which is when I made my claim. Today, I was expecting my ESA to go into my bank account as usual, on a Friday, every fortnight. However, it hasn't been paid. I searched online but was unable to find an answer, so I fished out my PIP award letter to see if there was any information in it about PIP and ESA being combined into one payment day.

Hi Tracy
PIP and ESA payments would not be combined. Either there is a banking issue - and sometimes they can come a day late or there is a DWP issue which you will have to follow up.

Hi BIS thank you.
Groan... I was worried that chasing up the DWP would be the answer. I hate phoning anywhere because my hearing loss makes phone calls into Russian roulette. I never know if the person who answers will speak lodly/clearly enough.
Also, when I reread my PIP letter, the rates are last year's, before the April uprate. Is this because my claim date was the end of March? Or a typo? I will wait until my first regular payment before seeing if I need to phone the PIP helpline, but wondered if this had happened to anyone else?
