Hello, I'm still awaiting a response from esa having sent my esa50 off middle of August. My 3 month sick note runs out on the 27th of this month so I called the surgery and was text a link to my new one.
The query is the new one is dated from the 26th so a day early - will this be a problem? It's all new territory to me, I also don't know where to send it 🤔

It's a 4 month one so maybe just maybe I get an esa response before this one runs our- or they cancel support group group altogether- oh dear! Thank you for any advice 😊

Hi headabovethewater

It will make no difference, I did speak to the DWP about fit notes a little while ago about gaps in the claim dates, DWP prefer no gaps but will over look up to 10 days depending on each individual and their circumstances.

If you live next door to a surgery they may be less forgiving than if you lived in the middle of nowhere and struggle to get transport.
