I will be 66 on 11 April 2024 and will get State Pension from then. I currently get means tested ESA (I have an occupational pension) and have advised DWP that I will only be entitled to ESA for 2 days after 8 April when the rates go up. Will I get a letter from them confirming my final ESA payment? I have received two letters from them confirming the increase, both stating that it applies from 8 April to 24 November 2024! Thanks
You should get a letter informing you that your ESA has stopped but that is not a guarantee.
Your ESA will stop when you reach state pension age, depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible to claim Guarantee Pension Credit; www.gov.uk/pension-credit
