PIP face to face appointment

PIP face to face appointment was created by st54
Even though we requested a paper based assessment or a telephone assessment PIP has sent out a face to face appointment letter. This would be very difficult for my husband to attend a face to face appointment, what is the best way to tell PIP this so they do a telephone assessment instead?

You can ring the assessment provider and ask them for an assessment change. If they refuse - you can put in a second request for a change. Nearly all the members who have asked to change a face-to-face assessment have been successful and been given a telephone assessment. Just be aware - there is no legal obligation for them to change the assessment type.
