Has Anyone Received the 'Social Support' Points After Receiving Letter?

Hi Steven (and all who are involved in this), I applied for a mandatory review on my case and included a separate letter using a template to state why I believed that I was entitled to the social support element. I was certain after reading and re-reading the criteria that I did fit that criteria. This was the 2nd time I asked for a reconsideration as I was told 'no' I wasn't entitled to the social support element 1 month before with no explanation why.
The DWP phoned me this week to say that they had decided that I was entitled to it and that my Standard Living element would now be changed to Enhanced and I would be receiving back pay from 2018. So, push on, and don't accept what they tell you first with no explanation. Detail why you should be getting the Social Support element and state as much i.e 'therefore I believe that I am entitled to the social support element' at the end of the letter and sign.
Hope this helps.

This was done via a MR sent to them exactly a year ago this month - I haven't to this day heard anything back about it.

I do wonder though if they change their ruling on an older award, would they look at the most current award and possibly adjust the points given on this too?

Hi Steven

Have you tried contacting them to find out if it is still being looked at?

No, I didn't chase it up as I was worried that if I push too much that they might look at my current award too and use it as an excuse to change my current entitlement.
