Claimants with LCWRA and some parents are given a Universal Credit Work Allowance of £404 per month. This means you can earn £404 in a month and not have any deductions from your UC. After that for every £ you earn then 55p will be deducted from your UC. With UC there is no such thing as Permitted Work ( as there was with ESA ). If an improvement in your health condition has enabled you to start work then you are obliged to inform UC and PIP. Though PIP are not interested in your income from work.
One other thing is that Councils across the UK have very different Council Tax assistance schemes and if you start work you may find yourself billed more Council Tax even though still in receipt of UC.
