Replied by Sum on topic Pip claim journey to Appeal
HI All lovely ppl on the forum ,
I've just submitted my sons Appeal - exactly 13 months after MRN . i know ..... dont come for me !
Anyhow, i now have his pip review to complete . my question is does my appeal submission negate the need for the review submission? Shall I submit the review anyway bec its a separate process ?
im conscious no govt agencies talk to each other share updates etc
what do you think ?

Hi All re the appeal ,
should i wait to hear if the reasons for late appeal are accepted before sending evidence bundle ?
also should i send full UC50 with LWRCA decision as evidence ? one or both ?
greatly appreciate your help as always

Hi Sum
When ever I do a late appeal, I usually hear within a week, HMCTS should send you a reference number, once you get your reference number send in your support bundle, make sure the bundle does not contain appointment letters, the tribunal will be more interested in consultants reports.
It will not do any harm in sending a copy of your LCWRA decision but remember PIP descriptors are different from LCWRA although a few do overlap.

Hi Sum
I am a little bit confused with your post, are we talking about two different benefits such as PIP and WCA? As you talk about submitted your son's appeal and then you mention should you submit the review?
Different government departments are starting to talk to each other which is why we are starting to see CA claimants with overpayments.

Hi
Hopefully i can clarify.
I submitted a pip appeal and was thinking of using the wca as supporting evidence . this will demo that a HP has assessed him not fit for work due to his conditions , as stated in appeal.
My comment about comm btw govt depts, was really to check if i need to send uc50 + decision , if DWP can supply copies of the same ? i guess its my responsibility in this case.
His PIP review coincided with the Appeal deadline. Thats my next task , unless the appeal i have submitted cancels out the need for the review process?
