  			 				Hi,

I’m pretty much new here. I have a few questions that I need to seek advice on. Just a few lines on our situation. My son is severely disabled. He does not access school FT. My husband was and is the main carer. I worked FT, but had to give up work 5 years ago, due to exhaustion PA and MH. We don’t have any support network. I’ve suffered with PA since my late teens. We both care for our son.

1st - We migrated last yr, not a very nice
experience.

2nd - I was advised to put in FN at the time and I’m now on the one where they don’t hassle you for work, for the moment, but you have contact with your WC every month (sorry can’t remember what it’s called) I dread speaking to her and I never know what to say, and when I’m asked something I just freeze. (I’m just having a whinge)

3rd - I noticed on my NI record, that since I haven’t worked my NI contributions are showing I need to pay on the yrs I’ve been unemployed? I’m not sure if I need to do something about this?

I’m just seeking advice really. I think I want to say is we just want to be left alone, our son’s care is 24hrs. He wakes up every day at 4am and it’s non-stop. But it’s the added pressure from them.

From what you are saying your WCA result placed you in the LCW ( limited capability for work ) regime of Universal Credit. That means the Work Coach considers you to be in the Work Preparation Conditionality Group. Here is the DWP guidance -
data.parliament.uk/DepositedPapers/Files...ion_regime_v14.0.pdf

Hope this helps.

Thank you for that information. My NI contributions since being on benefits. It appears that nothing has been paid. I’m not sure what I should do.

Many thanks
