My friend was turned down on a mandatory reconsideration 4 months ago since this his circumstances have changed he gets low rate mobility can he re apply for a higher rate
Your friend can write to the DWP and put in for a change of circumstances and report that his condition has deteriorated. He can ask them to just consider his mobility (but they may ignore - and they have the right to ignore that request). This will trigger a review, and he will probably be sent a review form. This process could take a while because of the backlog - but if he wins it will be backdated to the date he informed them of his deterioration. I would not advise him to report his change of circumstances over the phone because he will have no idea what the call-handler writes down. Make sure that he keeps a copy of the letter and sends it by tracked post. He can then always inform the DWP a letter is on its way.
