Does making toast in a toaster count as preparing and cooking food?

Replied by Chris on topic PIP Preparing and cooking food.
Hi JW,

Google states the following:

"Yes, making toast in a toaster is generally considered both preparing and cooking food, even if it's a simple task. Toasting alters the nature of the bread through the Maillard reaction, which is a cooking process. The Personal Independence Payment (PIP) (PIP) assessment considers "preparing food" to include tasks like toasting."
