I'm currently in ESA Support group, migrating to UC - severe spinal nerve damage and issues. in august 2023 during a "good" period, for my father's 75th my family and i travelled to Vienna. I was carted about in the airport, didn't walk anywhere, was a basic "passenger princess" having handled basically nothing of the trip, took all my medical aids and had my family with me. It was hard, but it was first time of a holiday in forever and a special one. we were out the country less than 2 weeks

the Migration form asks, as part of "Nationality" have you been abroad in the last 2 years. Vienna was 21 months ago. do I have to put it down. I really don't want them triggering a reassessment but also don't want to "lie". the trip was 2023, its 2025...

Hi Kazcr

20 or so years ago it was possible to tell a little fib on an A1 form knowing that no one was ever going to routinely re-read the form. Nowadays with the government proposing routine checking by AI which can sift through millions of pages of details in a few seconds veracity is important. One new software system can alert the DWP to debit/credit card transactions in foreign countries. Going abroad has nothing to do at all with the timing of a WCA. When you have a WCA you may be asked by the HAAS assessor if you have been abroad.
