Glad to have just subscribed. Hello to everyone, and hope claims are going well.
Got letter yesterday reminding me must claim UC by 13june. Saying sent me a letter on my birthday, 12th March, but I didn't receive anything. Very concerned about going online to do the 'move to uc' claim, and also due to events have referenced as briefly as possible below.
Very long term pip highest levels and esa support group. Age 59. Housebound, severe disability and dissociative disorder.
June 2024 ESA assessment passed/continuing in support group.
16aug last year did online HB review, including uploading 2 bank statement PDFs. Included note that two large payments due to assisted gardening suddenly ended, v difficult finding solution, ended up paver/high charges had no idea would be so.
17sept letter about HB/CT suspended from 15sept, as over a savings threshold, and must tell dwp bank total so can be re-assessed, or HB/CT claim closed 12oct. No answer for 1hr37m when tried calling dwp. Sent letter via RM Collect, arriving at dwp 1oct24, but had no response. ESA and PIP have continued into bank.
19oct warden said no HB gone in. I called HB, who said stopped HB incase don't qualify. Had to set up DD to pay full rent. Updated HB/CT saying sent necessary letter to dwp, but no response. Warden services being stopped now, followed by intercoms/cords removed later in year. A lot of pressure about sheltered accommodation renovations last year and this, despite signing waver form as not well enough to work around work done.
Not in a good area regarding GPs or welfare advice. Appreciate monthly prescription delivery very much, via systmonline. Much evidence over years on file, which ESA assessment being passed last year makes me think too, despite no GP interaction for years that can refer to. Have just seen a helpful thread where OP said didn't need fit notes as already known to be in ESA Support Group.
Only way managed disability and dissociation long-term is to respond when dwp write, fully and as soon as able, but otherwise not keep mind in that area. Had no knowledge over any threshold until all this happened. Very frozen due to dissoc disorder, disabiliity difficulties, and felt best default was to keep money by for critical items such as tiltable chair and very hard bed, which depend on so can sit and sleep, + essential white goods/medical aids.
Very frozen/dissociated, and is ironically hard to read a lot, and write ... most of notes are copied from 2024 notes ... but have made a note to look for the claim test run I saw in a comment under a benefits video. Otherwise, am unsure if anything I've posted is concerning or something I should reference when doing online claim. Also if it's possible and important to include in the online claim that I didn't receive the first migration letter.

Hi painter66
It is important that you add up all the money you have in any account so that the total can be reported to UC when you do the Migration.
