Support Group ESA to UC was created by Kazcr
I receive (although not according to UC apparently) and have received the irESA for at least 15 years. Today I submitted my UC "migration" (aka something you do from one thing to another, suggesting inherently you already receive something)

I then received a message saying that according to UC I DON'T receive ESA. I rang them and was told that ESA hadn't told UC that I am receiving ESA and therefore also NOT told them I'm Support Group. I was told to wait to be contacted for my "first appt" on the phone and tell the person calling me that I AM in ESA Support Group. I don't travel, I don't want a "work coach" and certainly don't want to contact the work coach through the "journal" in case they take that as me accepting a work coach or accepting that I'm anything other than support group. How do I make sure UC KNOWS I am in the ESA SUpport Group, that I've been receiving that for years? Should i wait for that phone call? Should I call ESA? How can two departments of the same organisation be THIS poor at communication?!?!

I knew this would be stressful but now I'm terrified and that only makes a number of my conditions worse.

Hi Kazcr

This is something a number of Forum members are experiencing. I would wait a couple of days and hope this issue is resolved when they calculate your UC payment.

Hi Kazcr,

It’s how the system is set up. Unfortunately it leaves those of us migrating to UC thinking it’s gone wrong. I was told I would be called regarding verification and stressed for weeks. Nothing happened so I queried it in my Journal and got a reply a few hours later saying I was already verified and that the online form saying I wasn’t on any other benefits doesn’t apply. So I hope you can relax a bit and not worry, though that’s a big ask😀
