Hi JustMe,

They did ask me for my paypal account, and they're likely to include premium bonds, as it's a type of savings account.

I would tell them, because worst case scenario ( depending on savings amount, either under £6,000, £6,001 to £16,000, and over £16,000 effects your amount ) - but because your 2 amounts are within the £250 in which they subtract £4.35 per month away to count as income, this would be your worst case scenario that you would lose that amount.

Regards, Chris

They will want to see every account you have. My wife and I had to show them the premium bonds statement, bank statements, PayPal statements, ISA statements, saving account statements. We have a second call with the DWP this Wednesday.

The call is to ask you questions about what accounts you have and provide 3 months worth of statements. They will have see the PayPal account and winnings from the premium bonds. What ever they ask for provide the statements.

My premium bond only has £2,000 in it. So I think I’ll be okay with that.

PayPal transaction was not income or a gift, and I did not make any financial gain from it. So would I just provide them with the refund email from the retailer?

Hi JustMe,

They'll likely see it on the PP statement and will ask you if they need it. Different advisors ask for different things, so not 100% certain of all information they'll request. Just be prepared, that's all I'd say.

Chris.

Just had the phone call. Person I spoke with was really nice. Bizarre though that they enquired on small payments from friends of like £20/£30 when I’ve bought something at Costco for them and they’re paying me back. But then I’ve got £600 from my mums partner when he spilt his drink on my laptop and I had to buy a new one and they didn’t question that amount coming in. So bizarre.

They want my Premium Bond, ISA & PayPal statements.

Do I supply the full statement or just the starting and ending balance? Because anything else will be in my main account that they’ve looked at surely?

Yeah, Certain advisors, certain things - I think they just choose randonly hoping to catch people out. You'll have to send the few months worth of statements they've asked for. It can be very time taking. They'll provide you with a link, but that link only allows 10 files to be uploaded, so if you need more, you'll have to ask. Mine took 72 different files :(
