ESA P60U was created by rik
I know this has been touched on previously but I am still confused as to why all my other P60's certificates issued over the years have been just that P60's but the latest one received this week is a P60U
I am still in receipt of income based ESA with LCWRA but due to migrate in next 6 weeks my annual benefit rates letters have never mentioned CB based or new style ESA always income related
I haven't paid any national insurance contributions in over 35 years and even then it was only for 12 months via part time employment
any advice/opinions from more knowledgeable folk would be really appreciated as this esa to uc migration is really starting to grind me down and I haven't even started filling in the form yet
Thanks
Rik

I have just submitted my claim for UC, am in support group ESA. Years ago I was on incapacity benefit and then contribution based ESA, then IR ESA. I have just received a P60U and never had a P60 in years.

Hi Chaps
Incapacity Benefit is a Contributions Based Benefit. So it appears that you have retained your entitlement to Contributions Based payments over the years.
