Hi Mumcalledmarie
I'm sorry that you are going to have to go through an Appeal.
It's impossible to make any useful comments without at least knowing where you are trying to gain points and why the DWP didn't score you more highly in the first place. It isn't the conditions per se that make the difference - it's how the DWP think those conditions affect you as per the PIP criteria. So you can have two people who have been diagnosed with the same conditions but don't get awarded the same PIP. Some of it is down to luck, and some will be differences in severity of symptoms, medication and evidence. You don't have to post personal information - but just where you are hoping to get additional points.

i was let down in all areas,my appeal has been ajourned from a paper hearing as they want to speak to me.
ADJOURNMENT NOTICE
1. The appeal is adjourned for a telephone hearing. It will be re-scheduled on a
date to be fixed with a time estimate of 90 minutes.
2. The appeal was adjourned today because the Appellant has multiple health
problems and has submitted a considerable amount of evidence. The Tribunal was
of the view that it was very difficult to make a decision on the papers and that it
would be preferable to speak to the Appellant either by telephone or video to clarify
the relevant problems at the date of decision and the functional impact on the
appellant.
3. Members of this tribunal are excluded from future involvement in the appeal.
4. The next hearing will be arranged to be a telephone hearing. If the Appellant
prefers a video hearing she should contact the Tribunal as soon as possible. If the
Appellant decides that she cannot participate in an oral hearing and would still like
a paper hearing she should contact the Tribunal as soon as possible to inform it of
her wishes.
5. The Appellant is encouraged to seek advice from a legal or welfare rights
adviser, such as an adviser from a local citizen's advice bureau to consider her
claim with her within the context of the legal regulations and formulate a
submission.
The Tribunal is very experienced in formulating the necessary questions and
reassuring Appellants who have not had advice.. Reference to seeking advice only
a suggestion, to enable a shorter and more focussed appeal which the Appellant
may prefer, given the nature of her problems. If the Appellant does not wish to seek
advice then the Tribunal will proceed in the usual way and there will be no
disadvantage to the Appellant.

Hi Mumcalledmarie
I'm sorry that your appeal has been postponed. You still have the choice to ask them to make a paper-based decision if that's what you prefer. Although they suggest you contact a specialist welfare rights advisor, you will not be penalised if you don't.
