I am terribly anxious about how I should contact the DWP regarding having my rent paid directly to my landlord. I am worried I will forget payment. During the switch from ESA to UC I have already had two rent arrears reminder notices from my landlord which it seems they send out if they don't get a payment as soon as it is due.
If I contact the DWP on the UC site I think it goes through to the Job Centre and there will be a record of it. I am worried that either way they will ask me to be assessed about my episodes of anxiety and forgetting, or not getting round to doing things for weeks on end. Will I need to provide them with a doctors letter or proof that I am on medication or is it likely that they will ask? I could rind them but am dreading the call in case they interrogate me about my mental health.
Your question is outside the remit of this forum as we don't deal with anything about rent.
I know you're worried about being interrogated, but no one is going to be asking about your mental health when they are trying to sort out your rent payments. Please get in touch with them through your journal.
