Payment confusion

Hi, I sent a message a week ago saying that my housing benefit hasn’t been paid to my housing association. They said in my journal that it was now being paid.

I received my first UC payment in march, yet my housing association called and told me that the rent has only been paid for April but not March. It hasn’t been backdated for some reason.

Also got a letter in my journal last week saying that they’ve underpaid me, and that they’d deposit £344 into my bank account. Later last week I received a payment of 2 pence!! Haven’t heard anything else about the money they said they owe me. The letter made little sense and was gibberish.

Why would they give me 2p?

I’ve sent a message in my journal but they just told me that my rent for April has been paid. Just concerned that I’ll have to pay the rent for March out of my UC and I really can’t afford it.

I regret asking them to pay rent directly to my landlord now, and wish I’d received the lump sum to pay myself.
