Job Centre Appt. Complex Needs. Universal Credit not listening.

Hi All,
Having contacted Universal Credit "Helpline" last week with regards to my Universal Credit Migration and stating that I have Complex Needs, the only answer I kept getting was "you need to apply online" in the end I was just going around in circles with this and gave up through frustration and had a "meltdown". Today my Brother came down from North Wales, I live in Hertfordshire, to help me apply(he wasn't very happy, but did it for me, his brother). We managed to complete the Claim online and I agreed to my Claimant Commitment. I also put in my journal about my complex needs and other things I need help with. Within half an hour I had a message stating that I am to attend the Job Centre with ID. I have no photo ID but can present other forms. Due to my Complex needs ( I have numerous Mental and Physical conditions and I am diagnosed Autistic) my health conditions have rendered me Housebound. Needless to say I will be unable to attend the Jobcentre this Thursday 15/5/2025.
Any advice to sort out the above would be most welcome.

Thank You.
Rob.

Hi Ultravox

Are you in the ESA Support group? If so you can demand a Home Visit from a DWP officer who will attend to your ID verification.

Thank you for your swift response, much appreciated. I also contacted my MP with regard to my issue and someone from my Local Jobcentre called around Midday today and my ID concerns were completed over the Phone. Again, thanks for your input.
