I migrated on the 20th April, and getting paid tomorrow, and I have no health or disability element in my UC. I'm really upset because it's half my income for the month. They say there is a backlog, but why was I not told this before the deadline for getting an advance? I had saved enough for the 5 week gap but now I'm left short with no additional money. I don't know if I should contact my MP or something else because it's horrible that people are being left with no money for their first month on UC with no warning before it happens. if I had known I could have got an advance to make sure im ok. Perhaps this is something b n w should be telling people I dunno....
