Thank you for the great advice when migrating from IB esa to UC. I input all the info you suggested when I got access to my journal. I was put in the correct group , I stated that I should be placed in the UC group equilivant from beginning of my claim and I was. As expected I received my 2 week run on of Esa and HB. DWP have deducted £609 and they state Esa as reason. I replied in journal asking if they had taken my 2 week run off by mistake. No reply. Called Esa waited an hour and 29 mins before they answered and they said I was now entitled to Contribution based Esa and had a payment of £295. I entered that info in journal and said I know that will be deducted but that doesn't explain the £609 deducted. No reply. I called Universal Credit only waited 10 mins amd the guy said any Esa is deducted from UC. I said if it's the run on of Esa and HB that you habe taken off that should not have happened as it doesn't effect my UC . He just kept repeating any Esa is taken off, he had no idea about the 2 week run on. He said he would escalate my case to a case manager . I said I'm due to be getting my first payment on Friday 23rd and once the New Style Esa is deducted I will still be over £300 short. Received confirmation in my journal that he had asked a case manager to look into it and message said woukd be contacted by 6pm yesterday. No message , no phone call and only received the wrong amount tiday. As you suggested I emailed my MP amd hopefully he will be able to help. It's awful that DWP "agents" are not trained correctly to know the rules of DWP. Am awaiting response from MP. Thank you again for all the fantastic advice in the guides. Very helpful.

Hi Annietush
UC payments are paid monthly (I know you will already no this).
The £609 deduction is a monthly average of you CB ESA and this is deducted from your UC.
CB ESA I'm sure is or has changed to New Style ESA.
You will / should receive a payment of CB ESA / New Style ESA on the same day as you previously received ESA.
Also this payment is fortnightly.
Hope this info helps.
Good Luck
