Change over from DLA to PIP was created by Nutcracker
Like everyone im genuinely scared about all these changes, but ive just had my migration notice to change to Universal Credit, which im leaving until near the cut off date, purely for finances. Can anyone tell me when DLA is supposed to change to Pip, as I can't get an answer anywhere? Im most certainly not ringing the DLA as that might start the ball running. Any news would be helpful & im thinking of you all & wishing you. lots of luck with all this governments shenanigans.

Hi Nutcracker
Nothing has been said about DLA to PIP recently. Migration from DLA to PIP was stopped until 2028 and we have not heard that it has started again.

I read on a benefits support group on Facebook, admin put it up today, and not 100% sure of this but apparently she had a reply today after emailing DWP about people that are still on DLA ( I am one ) that if we don’t voluntarily change by the new rules in November 2026 then we will be treated as a new claimant and the new rules will come into force.
I think this is just another way of cutting the pip claimants by using all the indefinite DLA clients as scapegoats, I feel physically sick reading that tonight
It’s bad enough I am trying to get my head around UC migration without thinking I have to deal with pip as well
