Hi David,
I did reply to this, but seems that it didn't post.

As stated before, all paperwork from Jobcentre plus states income-related, not contributory there is no wording on paperwork even suggesting it would be contributory or mix of, regardless of P60 received each year. I don't know what IB ESA means, sorry.

I am a council tenant of which, has been through UC portal, has stated that they will pay council directly.

What I need to establish here, is where does this figure of £1038.66 come from, and whether I will need to declare it at the end of 25/26 tax year to HMRC, as over £1000.

Do you think it is best to call Jobcentre plus first to find out what the figure is from (assuming I can do this), then write to them if I disagree with it? I don't want to mess up my UC claim

Many thanks in advance

Hi Leilani68

I'm sorry but you have been confused. I am not aware of this £1000 threshold. What is it for ?

Hi David,
No worries, self-assessment, you get up to £1,000 each tax year in tax-free allowances, for taxable income. I suspect that this might be a bit more complicated. I appreciate your help, truly, but I think, the only answers to this is to ring, Jobcentre plus.

I appreciate your time and effort in trying to help me, but I think I am going to leave it there.

Thank you :)

Thanks ...I see.... you are referring to self employment. So could be complicated.
