UC migration - DWP confusion over contri/iR esa run-on

My sister - Has migrated to UC from ESA IR Support Group. She received a 2 week run-on of her IR ESA and UC have deducted it unlawfully from her UC payment. As she apparently also has entitlement to contribution based ESA. As she has no other income and the mere fact that she qualified for the ESA run-on, tells the DWP that she was on Income related ESA. They are insisting, dispite several MSG she has sent to her UC journal.

UC are aso saying they are still waiting for ESA information !!!!! and it has been about 6/7 weeks since she submitted her UC claim.

I think it is time to escalate to a senior DWP member.

Do you have the contact details of the case manager at Basinstoke Jobcentre so we can get this mess sorted out.

Thank you

Hi Angelf

The term Case Manager is a DWP euphemism. They are not actually managers but Administrative Officers based in large UC Service Centres such as Pynes Hill Exeter.
So your sister can ask for the name of the Case Manager dealing with her claim via a UC Journal message. I expect that the first name only will be provided. To do this choose as recipient A Payment and then the message will be routed to the Case Manager.
