Hi David, could I just ask, is everyone going through managed migration guaranteed a home visit upon request? Or is there eligibility criteria for the Enhanced Support Journey?

Hi Dellilah
Eligibility for Support Visits to claim Benefits: www.gov.uk/support-visit-benefit-claim
As a rule, you would need to meet the eligibility criteria to get a visit arranged outside the usual departments. Eligibility
A visit can be arranged for you if you need extra help to claim benefits, for example because you:
~ have complex needs
~ are disabled
~ are a vulnerable young person making a claim for the first time
~ have nobody else to support you
~ cannot claim benefits in any other way
DWP will also arrange a support visit if someone you know is applying to become your appointee to help you manage your benefits.
What if another person is applying to become your appointee (e.g. to help you manage your benefits)? If so, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) can also arrange this kind of support visit.

Hi Gary, thank you for your reply. I’m not sure if I would be eligible due to complex needs or disability because my mental health issues stop me leaving the house. It doesn't really elaborate on what constitutes complex needs.

Hi Dellilah
You can find out what the government means by complex needs here - there is not an exhaustive list and it will be up to the interpretation of the case managers.
