UC Work Allowance & Transitional Protection/Element...

I am confused as to how the UC Work Allowance (UC-WA) could impact on Trasitional Protection/Element (UC-W/A).

If there were an increase in earnings that remained below the UC-WA, would this amount earned be offset/deducted by an equivalent amount in the T-P/E?

Essentially if you have T-P/E is it worth trying to increase your earnings if there would be no overall net finanical benefit...
