Hi We’re Just finishing my daughters pip review form and wanted people’s opinion on the ‘about the people that support you and your health condition or disability. We have put down her cancer nurse specialist who best knows her. But Im wondering whether I should put down myself as her father/full time carer. I know the form says carer but Im sceptical they’ll trust what I say based on tales of what these assessors are like and also whether they’ll ring up and try and catch me out. In the other hand maybe Im being cynical/paranoid. Advice will be gratefully received. Thanks

Hi Rexer,
I think the 'other people ' are outsiders such as nurses or physios or other therapists. However, as father and carer there is no reason why you can't prepare a statement to enclose with the form. You can explain the general health problems your daughter has and particularly the struggles and or help needed in respect of descriptor activities.
Are you appointee for your daughter? If she genuinely can not deal with benefits matters herself, you can apply to be appointee. This gives you much more clout (theoretically anyway!)with DWP.
I hope this helps.
