Total confusion was created by A-nobody
Hi , i have just been migrated (managed migration) to Universal Credit . I was previously getting INCOME RELATED ESA in the SUPPORT GROUP .
Today i get a letter saying they are pleased to tell me i can be payed NEW STYLE ESA ( i was never on this) from March 2022 ! It also says i will get an amount for DISABILITY INCOME GUARANTEE ?
WORSE ! It says i have been granted LIMITED CAPABILITY FOR WORK. (Another part says i am in SUPPORT GROUP )
* HOWEVER my UNIVERSAL CREDIT JOURNAL ETC SAYS THAT I AM GRANTED LCWRA STATUS …not just LCW ! I am totally confused and terrified .
Any help please?

The DWP have admitted to making mistakes at present as they don't have the staff to cope with the huge numbers of new UC claimants.
Eventually you will be migrated to the UC LCWRA group which is the same as the ESA Support Group.
When do you expect your first UC payment? You will need to check it's the right amount.

Hi , as i say above i have been migrated ..they say i will get my first UC payment on July 6 i think it was.. .my Journal already says that i am in LCWRA group for UC. THis letter from ESA is totally confusing. I have always claimed INCOME RELATED ESA and been in SUPPORT GROUP for years . I have never claimed NEW STYLE ESA. I don’t even know what that is ? THis ESA letter does acknowledge that I was in SUPPORT GROUP.but says ‘it is confirmed that you have limited capability for work’ I just rang UC and they conform I am in LCWRA …then i rang ESA and they say ignore the letter they sent today about NEW STYLE ESA! Oh, they also sent me a P45 ..I haven’t worked in many years because of illness. So confused. What is going on?

Can you remember if you get the £10 Xmas bonus from the DWP ?
Also do you ever get a P60 in a brown envelope from the DWP?

It means that you are or were getting Contributions Based ESA. This is the one that gets converted into New Style ESA but only if you receive a Managed Migration letter.
