DLA-PIP question re 4-piont rule was created by Darrin
I currently receive DLA on the higher rate of both elements, I have not been asked to apply for PIP yet.
I have two questions: Will I be asked to transfer from DLA to PIP, if so will I receive transitional protection, as I should with ESA-UC? Or should I in view of:- current claimants will now be exempt from the personal independence payment (PIP) four-point rule and the freezing of universal credit. transfer to PIP myself, as there is no dates regarding when the 4-point rule applies, just current claimants?

Hi Darrin

DLA to PIP migration was paused until 2028. We don't know what's going to happen about this. Some people have been told by MPs they will be treated as new claimants - but until it has been confirmed we cannot say. We don't even know if people can voluntarily migrate (I don't think they have even thought of that as a possibility). Please keep an eye on the newsletter. Steve will report on this as it becomes clearer.
