Esa to usa and hb arrears was created by Lpot50
I completed my esa to uc transfer this morning. I had trouble with the online id verification, so opted to receive a phone call. They rang a couple of hours later and everything seems to have gone ok.
He said my claim was up and running and I would receive a final esa payment in two weeks. I asked about hb, as it has been two weeks since my last payment.
However, he seemed to think I would not get two weeks owed on hb.
He offered me a loan which I declined.
My last hb payment was 16/06/25.
Is this correct? I have noticed others stating they got two weeks on hb as well as esa.

Hi Lpot50

I'm sorry, but we can't confirm anything about your Housing Benefit issues. I know some people are getting them quickly, and some people are finding that they are going into areas because it hasn't been set up quickly enough. (That's a DWP and council issue - not the claimant). So I know people who have suddenly received a letter from their council saying they are in rent arrears.

Hope you are one of the people for whom everything gets sorted out quickly. All you can do is keep an eye on your statements and journal and raise any issues as they arise.
