DLA was created by Hellen Armstrong
I am still being paid through DLA was awarded indefinite around 20 years ago, I have a genetic heart wasn’t formed right at birth but never found until my asthma became uncontrollable
I am on oxygen for life and have many other illnesses
I have to migrate this month to UC, moment I am on ESA support with income support top up for husband as his my carer
Question is if I carry on waiting until they ask me to move onto Pip am I risk ing being treated as a new claimant and could struggle to get the same award, or as soon as sorted UC voluntarily change over to pip
Reason I ask is a benefit Facebook group admin yesterday said she heard from her mp I think it read after asking them about claimants still on DLA they said anyone moving over to pip after Nov 26th will be treatment with the new pip reform

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
At this moment in time DWP are not contacting DLA claimants to apply for PIP, it has been frozen for a few years, it is not something I have heard but it does sound logical, I will flag it up for the back office to look at and mention it in the B&W news letter.
