My adult son migrated from. ESA with an underlying entitlement to SDP on 21 May 2025.
He has been in hospital from 25 December 2023 until 23 June 2025
His DLA MRC LRM was suspended and is now in the process of being reinstated, to include periods of home leave as follows 17-18 March 2025 - while in receipt of ESA 9 -13 June 2025 and 17 -22 June 2025 - after migration to UC.
I will contact ESA to request ESA , to include SDP, when DLA has been paid.
My question is will he receive transitional protection of the SDP on his UC claim as there was an underlying entitlement to SDP when his ESA claim migrated.
