Visually impaired was created by Sb8067
Hi I’m finding it difficult to find help with filling out a pip form for visually impaired people all help is either online or telephone calls and access to face to face help in filling out form is practically non existent where I live, it would be really helpful if a guide could be put together to assist the visually impaired with their pip forms, I’m finding the whole experience really stressful 🙁

Hi Sb8067

Welcome to the forum.

You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.

You may be able to get a home visit from a Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) officer to help you with your benefit claim.

You cannot book a visit yourself. Tell DWP you need help to claim benefits by calling the number of the benefit you’re applying for. If you’re eligible, they’ll arrange a support visit. : www.gov.uk/support-visit-benefit-claim.

You may be able to seek help from your local Welfare Rights Specialist; advicelocal.uk

Please find link attached to RNIB who have produced a useful guide to pip toolkit for people who are visually sight impaired or severely sight impaired.
