IRESA & PIP (care & mobilty) - migration to UC queries

Hi. Hope this is the place to ask.
My ESA to UC migration date is 3 weeks away, and I am exhausted at even the thought of doing it, and stressed about the change.
I'm autistic as well as chronically unwell, I don't like phones, and I don't always feel up to seeing new people, so I haven't started the form, and I don't want to ask for help from strangers.
I am worried about the switch, about having no money at all, and that my young adult son who I live with will be made to pay for living with me. We don't claim carer's allowance but he helps me out a lot.
Do you know if the non-dependent deduction is different for UC?
I am planning to return my motabiity vehicle early, as I can no longer afford it, or drive confidently (waiting for cataracts to be done) at the end of this month, but I'm told DWP takes 4 weeks to sort PIP payments out after car returned.
Should I ask to delay migration until mid-August, do you think, as the restored PIP component might help me manage the wait for UC?
If I do request an extension, will this cause any issues with HB rent payments from the LA?

I'm really feeling quite low and distressed about having to make / go through these changes, so thank you to anyone who replies, and in advance of any help/advice anyone can offer.

Hi Justme

I'm sorry this is stressing you out so much. I know it is easy for me to say, but most people have found the form is not as scary as they thought. However, some of your questions are outside the remit of this forum.

I don't know whether the non-dependent deduction is different for UC.

Should you delay the migration? - I don't know - that is a decision only you can choose - but you will need to contact them if you want to delay and don't leave it until the last minute.

Will a delay have an effect on your HB - I doubt it, but we don't have the knowledge to give you a definitive answer. The Citizens' Advice Bureau, who have specialist welfare advisors, will be the people to ask.
