I'm in the process of managed migration from support group ESA to UC. I got help via the 'Help To Claim' chat service to apply, but hit a wall with ID as I don't have a driving licence. I've posted in my journal that as I have POTs/EDS I am severely affected by London's current heatwave. I am in the main housebound. I managed to get them to change the ID verification to a phone call, but now have been booked a face-to-face to verify capital etc next week. I'm extremely worried that I won't be able to make it as the heatwave looks like it's continuing. I've asked if I can upload statements (no reply), or have a home visit but have been told there's a month wait
It''s difficult when you don't get responses, but there is little you can do about this - apart from putting in an official complaint. If you are happy to be contacted at short notice - you could tell them you are willing to take a cancellation. One of our members got seen very quickly by agreeing to this.
