I can't tell you how long it will take them to decide about the type of assessment. It could be paper-based, telephone, video or face-to-face. Very few face-to-face assessments are being done, but if they did decide on a face-to-face, you can appeal and ask them to change it. If they refuse the first time (which would be unusual), you can appeal again and asked them to change it. If they refused to change it twice and they insisted on a face-to-face you would have to accept it or risk losing your benefit. I am talking about worst case scenario. As I said, very few face-to-face assessments are being done, and the small number of members who have reported being sent one have successfully managed to change them to telephone assessments.
