PIP Review SMS was created by ka
Hi,
I have received an SMS from DWP stating:
“ Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change.”
I have not had a medical assessment or any contact from DWP other than interim SMS messages saying they are still reviewing my claim.
Should I be worried or relieved or both?

Hi Ka
It means they have done a paper-based assessment. You should receive your decision letter shortly.

Can they stop an award if they have done a paper based assessment, or does it mean my award will continue?

Hi ka
Yes they can stop an award if the decision maker declines the award. If this happens then your next stage would be to apply for a mandatory reconsideration.
