Hi Everyone,
Is anyone else getting the same DWP message on line and on the phone from DWP, which is: We are not taking online claims for people in your postcode area?
I called on behalf of my friend who has Asperger's Syndrome, and who cannot fill out a paper form, but who can overtime fill out online forms. There appears to be no number to call if you are considered disabled under the equality act, and intitled to reasonable adjustments. Therefore you can request the form in a different format.
I tried the gov online site several times over using multiple postcodes picked at random, and all came back with the same message, We are not taking online claims for people in your postcode area? Is this an online fault? or are the DWP deliberately making people accept a paper form to have to fill out?
But they provide no alternative telephone number to call if you cannot fill out the paper version.
Anyone else having this problem? And anyway around it?
