Hi there , hoping you can help and would really appreciate it

My anxiety is through the roof , this question is in two parts

I am in receipt of esa contributions based long term and I am also in receipt of universal credit , my husband works .

I always go on holiday every year and I know this is allowed however

My sister is getting married and this means travelling for 3 nights abroad for her wedding celebrations

However this would mean I would go to her wedding celebrations for 3 nights and then return for one day and then go on my family holiday abroad for 11nights with husband and kids . That would mean in total I am away for 14 nights however there is a one day gap between the two breaks . It’s making me sick having to ring esa and inform them as what will they say and then also inform universal credit , am I allowed to go away for 3 nights return for a day and then go on my family holiday abroad , does this need reporting as two separate trips or can I just ring and say I’m abroad for 14 nights ?
Am I allowed to do this ? Will my claims be stopped and will I be reviewed
My circumstances haven’t changed and I will need special assistance at the airport . This would never happen usually but my sister getting married isn’t an everyday thing and it wasn’t intentionally booked this way . My holiday was booked first .
Any advice appreciated

Hi Chrystal

Your question is outside the remit of the forum, we would advise you to contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation: advicelocal.uk. where they can take all your circumstances into consideration when giving you advice.

I have found the following information which you may find useful.

www.gov.uk/claim-benefits-abroad/universal-credit
