Unable to log in to the UC website! was created by PenfoldsPen
Today I had my biographical ID test via the phone for the ESA to UC migration. They called early by 2 hours but were supposed to call at 4.40pm. At around 4.44pm they still had not called so I tried to sign in to the UC site. It's nearly a hour later and I still cannot sign in.
There is a error message saying "Sorry, we are currently having problems sending SMS access codes. Please do not re-submit your code request. Try again later."
I get a SMS code but they arrive more than the 15 minutes time they are live for then expire.
What is the point of this whole online system if you cannot access your account at a crucial time, i.e. to see if you have missed a important call from them. No doubt some people will be penalised for not being able to access their journal / diary in time to take action.
With millions of NHS users data being hacked recently and leaked on the dark web these UC sign in problems really do not inspire confidence. And Tony Blair's totalitarian technocratic fantasy of digital ID cards is being propagandised presently via the mainstream media with the idea that it will solve the illegal migration crisis. If they cannot even maintain a stable way of signing into a online only benefits website what's the point of all this other shift to online only with health, ID and all the other stuff they are proposing etc. One ID for everythere etc.
If they cannot keep our data safe too then this whole ponzi digital only scheme of theirs soon falls apart.
I did pass my check but while the chap was nice enough he said inappropriate comments such as that I had been out of work for so long and claiming ESA for such a long time. Which I then felt I was put on the spot and so anxious had to explain why which was upsetting. He also could not find my last two addresses on the system despite the fact that I was claiming ESA while living at both of them. Not good at all.

Hi PenfoldsPen
I'm glad that you were able to confirm your identification. System problems are frustrating.

Yes especially if you need to log on urgently. Perhaps they have caused these issues by reseting the deadlines for all migrations by a couple of years according to Talk to Stu.
